Healing the Healer

June 5th, 2026: An Embodied, Ethical, and Relational Retreat for Mental Health Clinicians

7 hr
550 US dollars
Monroe, GA

Workshop Description

This retreat is an invitation to slow down, settle in, and remember what sustains us as helpers. Healing the Healer is designed as a restorative learning experience that honors clinicians as whole people—mind, body, nervous system, and spirit—while grounding self-care firmly within ethical responsibility and professional competence. This is not a productivity retreat. This is not a “do more” day. It is a space to be held, nourished, and gently reoriented toward sustainability, presence, and meaning in the work. Reserve your seat “at the table”…..and, ALSO…..there is no table… Only 8 spots available for this one in order to retain the intimate, relational nature of the experience! Sacred space will be held for you at the Hope Springs Mind, Body Spirit Campus in Monroe, Georgia. We will meet in our healing space that we call “The Well.” You are welcome to get comfortable. To take off your shoes. To bring your whole self. To learn in ways that feel natural, grounded, and alive. Our spaces are designed to allow movement, reflection, conversation, and rest. Participants may sit, stand, wander, or settle in. Nourishment—both literal and figurative—is abundant. Learning unfolds through dialogue, story, reflection, and shared experience. This is not passive education. It is participatory, relational, and intentional. Learning Objectives By the end of this retreat, participants will be able to: 1. Identify ethical risks associated with burnout, compassion fatigue, and chronic stress in clinical practice. 2. Describe the role of nervous system regulation and embodied awareness in ethical decision-making and clinical presence. 3. Evaluate personal self-care practices through an ethical and trauma-informed lens. 4. Develop an individualized Ethical Sustainability Plan to support long-term professional well-being and effectiveness. --------- (Full Day) 6 CEUs.
