About Us
MindPath Innovations was created to elevate the continuing education experience for mental health clinicians.
Many professionals have attended trainings that feel outdated, passive, or disconnected from actual clinical work. Our mission is to provide continuing education that is clinically relevant, ethically grounded, and intentionally designed to support ongoing professional competence.

Drawing from extensive experience in counseling, education, and clinical training, MindPath Innovations develops programs that integrate current research, best practices, and applied clinical frameworks. All offerings are structured to meet NBCC continuing education standards while honoring how adult professionals learn best. Continuing education should do more than check a box, it should strengthen confidence, competence, and clinical effectiveness.
Our Approach
NBCC-Aligned Content
All programs are designed to align with NBCC Content Areas and continuing education standards.
Clinically Relevant Learning
Training is grounded in real-world application, ethical practice, and evidence-based frameworks that include interactive, intentional learning experiences that respect clinicians’ expertise and time.
Competence-Focused
Programs are built to enhance knowledge, skills, and professional judgment—not just earn credit hours.
About Sherie Hawkins
PhD, LPC, NCC, CPCS
Sherie Hawkins is the Founder and Program Director of MindPath Innovations and someone who firmly believes that continuing education should be smart, meaningful, and yes, actually enjoyable.
With a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision and years of experience as a licensed professional counselor, educator, supervisor, and trainer, Sherie brings both clinical depth and real-world wisdom to every learning experience she designs. Her work lives at the intersection of trauma-informed care, ethics, supervision, and professional development—and she is deeply committed to helping clinicians feel more confident, competent, and grounded in their work. In her own clinical practice, Sherie is a Certified EMDR practitioner and conducts EMDR Intensive experiences for clients. She is progressive in her approach to treatment and is currently launching a medication-assisted trauma release experience.
Sherie is also the founder of Hope Springs Mind, Body, Spirit, a counseling practice she established more than 15 years ago. Under her leadership, Hope Springs has grown into a sought-after, well-respected clinical organization and was named the Georgia Affiliate for the National Complex Trauma Consortium several years ago. This affiliation provides direct access to cutting-edge research, world-renowned experts, and advanced training in trauma-informed care—insight that deeply informs both her clinical work and the continuing education programs offered through MindPath Innovations.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Sherie serves as core faculty in graduate-level counseling programs and has trained and supervised counselors across a wide range of settings. She is known for her ability to translate complex clinical and ethical concepts into learning experiences that feel accessible, engaging, and immediately applicable—without watering anything down.
At MindPath Innovations, Sherie designs continuing education that respects clinicians’ time, honors their expertise, and challenges the notion that high-quality training must be dry or disconnected from real practice. Her approach blends evidence-based content, ethical rigor, trauma-informed insight, and just enough personality to keep learning human.
When Sherie is not counseling or building programs, she is often drawn back to the natural world—walking wooded paths, practicing forest therapy, or creating spaces where others can slow down and reconnect. She finds meaning in full moon gatherings with friends, in travel that widens perspective, and in meals shared over great food and wine. These moments of connection—to nature, to community, and to presence—quietly shape the way she lives, teaches, and walks alongside others in their healing journeys.
